Residential Services
Housing is crucial to the care and treatment of the mentally ill. Spanish Peaks Mental Health Center offers several housing options to its clients, depending on their level of functioning. Each house conducts group therapy throughout the day to help prepare the residents for more independent settings. Each resident is referred to the Community Support Program when it is deemed clinically necessary.
Chautard House is an Adult Foster Care Facility and is the most structured of our three long-term facilities. Residents are eligible to live at Chautard if they have Medicaid and are certified by the Department of Social Services.
La Villa de Evans provides individual rooms with baths and a common recreation and kitchen area. Individuals who reside at La Villa de Evans require less oversight and structure than those at Chautard House. Clinical programming on site emphasizes preparation for independent living. Residents' rent is subsidized by HUD.
Spanish Peaks Apartments is a Federally subsidized apartment complex for persons capable of taking their own medications, monitoring their finances, and meeting their own needs. Residents receive mental health care through the Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs. HUD subsidizes rents making it very affordable to those with limited income.
Grand House is a twenty-four-hour residential facility providing transitional care to individuals diagnosed with a mental illness. In addition to the services provided by Grand House staff, a structured partial hospitalization program is available to individuals in the community and those at Grand House.
