Huerfano & Las Animas Counties

Clients living in Las Animas or Huerfano Counties receive outpatient care at their local Spanish Peaks Mental Health Center in Trinidad or Walsenburg respectively. Both children and adults are seen in an outpatient setting in these offices. Rural residents who require services other than outpatient can access services from Pueblo via transfer. If appropriate, Pueblo staff provide consultation. Staff at the two centers provide emergency services and screening for hospitalization when needed.

New programming developed at the rural offices includes a Day Treatment program for adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses and group therapy.
